Rich DiClaudio (Managing Director, CEO) Rich is an energy transition expert with over 35 years’ experience advising, investing, and operating in the energy, energy tech, and energy transition space, including as President and CEO of Energy Innovation Center Institute, Inc., CEO of Bedford Management Partners, past CEO of Blue Tip Energy (an energy and energy tech private equity fund), past EVP & COO Hillman Energy (sub of the Hillman Company). Rich is an internationally recognized expert on sustainability, resiliency, all phases of the energy transition value chain, and equitable workforce development. Rich serves on many boards, including currently on the $15 billion UPMC Health Plan, and two energy transition tech companies. He is often called on to testify, speak, and lecture on energy transition, security, and impact topics at various summits, universities, and before governing bodies.
Mike Broeker (Managing Director) Mike has over 25 years’ experience as an energy transition and technology professional including most recently as a Managing Director of Bedford, president of an energy transition and water technology company, CEO of a CMU energy tech roll out, and as an energy transition advisor to the Energy Innovation Center Inst. Mike has extensive strategy development and implementation expertise. He is a mechanical engineer and has also worked in private equity and technology industries. Mike serves on the board of multiple energy transition tech companies.
Jim Dorris (Managing Director) Jim has over 20 years as a strategic advisor in the sustainability, resiliency, and the broader energy transition and construction space, including over 8 years as the Corporate Sustainability Officer for a Fortune 500 company. Jim currently advises some of the world’s largest equipment rental and safety companies on their energy transition and electrification strategies. Jim has extensive advisory, strategy development, mergers, turnarounds, private investor expertise and serves on the boards of many innovative for profit companies in this space. Jim advises and speaks extensively on CSR and sustainability topics nationally.
Joe Vaccarello (Managing Director, CFO) Joe is a senior management professional with over 23 years of successful experience in general management, strategy development and implementation, finance and risk management, information systems design and management, mergers and acquisitions and development and implement of strategic business process including energy transition and investment tax credits. He has led past companies to successful strategic development and exit totally over $2.1 billion in transaction values. Joe routinely advises multiple national companies on similar strategies.
Alex DiClaudio (Managing Director) Alex has over 10 years’ experience in the energy transition space including with Bedford, as a director in a Texas-based energy tech private equity fund, and as an advisor to the Energy Innovation Center Institute, Inc. Prior to co-founding Bedford, Alex was the President & CEO of the North American subsidiary of an Irish digital media and technology company. Alex services on Carnegie Hero Fund Commission and recently served on the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), and as the president of CMU’s global Alumni Association. Over the last eight years Alex has served as an alumni board member for the prestigious Management Game capstone project for seniors at CMU’s Tepper School of Business. He has expertise in multi-discipline innovation and communication strategies. Alex currently serves as a board member of the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission.
